Volunteer’s Needed
for Pets here due to Hurricane Ike
Who? According to Ms. Liz Walker, Bossier Animal Control Director, volunteers are needed to help with the hurricane pet evacuees who are continually coming to the state emergency shelter in Bossier City.
What? There are many pets being sheltered next to Bossier Animal Control from Texas, and they are continually arriving. For this reason helpers are immediately needed at all hours. These volunteers must be over 18 years old. Additionally, metal food and water dishes, towels, food, leashes, and collars are needed.
When? Now.
Where? Temporary emergency state pet shelter is located in the field west of Bossier Animal Control, 3217 Old Shed Road, next to Tinsley Park.
Why? To help pets evacuated due to Hurricane Ike and thus their people.
